Gorilla Guest shifts

SILK and FIZZ, located in the historic center of Ljubljana, was opened in March 2025 by Gal, Gregor & Jan. The brand itself was founded two years earlier by Gal & Jan, driven by the idea of creating their own bar. While searching for a permanent location, they developed the concept through guest shifts and collaborations.

The bar represents a carefully considered balance between aesthetics, functionality, and guest experience. Its design concept is inspired by a futuristic interpretation of ancient city atmospheres, combining innovative materials, thoughtful lighting & music and a welcoming spatial character. The interior follows a minimalist, modern approach, with a strong emphasis on comfort, and professional but approachable hospitality.

The space itself is divided into several areas, including the entrance room with the projection wall, a main room, a small lounge, and a lab. The visitor’s gaze is naturally drawn to the centrally positioned bar, where the creative process behind the cocktails is fully visible. To bring the world of production closer to guests, the preparation area is enclosed in transparent glass, remaining continuously on display.

This philosophy extends to the cocktail program, which emphasizes clarity, precision, and technique. Drinks are presented in a clean, minimal way, focusing on flavor without unnecessary embellishment. The atmosphere is further shaped by a music selection centered around old-school hip-hop with some hint of the new eras as well, ranging from the American icons to some Slovenian hidden gems as well.
